The strong form of recent weeks can be maintained. Fynn Haupt, making his debut for FR13DA SPORT, and Marc Schürrle have secured the 2nd pole position of the season, laying the foundation for a successful race.

Second race. Second pole position. First race win. This roughly describes yesterday's race day. In the 2nd round of the DSRC Endurance Series, there were plenty of reasons to celebrate. Marc Schürrle and Fynn Haupt shared the driving duties behind the wheel of 'BigRed,' and did so very successfully. In qualifying, Haupt made a big leap early on. His first lap was solid and secured the second pole position of the 2024 season in the second race. The tuning work over the past few days had really paid off. Both drivers quickly found their rhythm in practice, allowing them to finalize their strategy thoughts before the race. The race went smoothly for our drivers from start to finish. Fynn Haupt, who also took the start after qualifying, pressed the pedal late and caught the second-placed Porsche off guard. An early two to three-second gap could be opened up to the competitors, allowing us to manage the race despite traffic.
There were some skirmishes in the rear of the field during the race, but they didn't unsettle Haupt and even played into our hands at times. After his double stint, Marc Schürrle took over around the halfway point of the race. Until then, our team had never been worse than P3. Due to pit stop adjustments, crucial seconds were gained during the race, which, combined with Marc Schürrle's clean performance, resulted in a comfortable 25-second lead over P2. This not only secured the pole position but also the fastest race lap.
Pole position + fastest race lap + race win. In sports, there's often talk of a "CLEAN SWEEP" when everything falls into place and you have a perfect event. In this case, we can certainly apply that term.
Now, we're heading into a nearly 4-week break. The third race of the DSRC Season 2024 will once again take place in the USA and once again in Florida. It will be all about every second at the Sebring International Raceway.
